David Kraemer Receives Distinguished Service Award from the ASSE Foundation
David G. Kraemer, Chair of the Department of Occupational Safety and Health at Murray State University (MSU) in Murray, KY, is the recipient of this year’s Distinguished Service Award. His leadership, dedication and commitment to students and the safety profession has been a winning combination for the students at MSU as well as for the ASSE Foundation.

Purchase Area Chapter Named 2008-2009 Shooting Star
Society President C. Christopher Patton remarked:
"Is it my great pleasure to recognize the Purchase Area Chapter as a recipient of the 2008-2009 Shooting Star Award. I understand the work and team effort that goes into a successful chapter year, as well as the diligence it takes to track the information requested for the Chapter Stars petition. Chapter Stars Awards will be given out at the Chapter Recognition Luncheon on Monday, June 14, 2010, at ASSE's Annual Professional Development Conference in Baltimore, Maryland. The luncheon will be held at the Baltimore Hilton from 11:45am to 1:00pm, where your Chapter will receive a certificate to honor this accomplishment.
As a Shooting Star Award winner, you are identified as an emerging leader amongst the 150 chapters throughout the world with regard to your professional development, chapter communication and superior service to your constituency. You have set your chapter apart as a true performer and you should be proud of your achievements. It is the hope of the Society that your dedication and commitment will continue to grow and thrive through your outstanding efforts."
